It was convenient for stopping off for 1 night on the way to the Dales. Very good breakfast.
The ''en-suite bathroom'' was just a partition across one corner of the room with no ceiling and very cramped with no soap. The sachets of sugar on the hospitality tray looked as though they had been laying there for months. There was also a very stained plastic tub of coffee instead of individual sachets, also individual packs of milk would have been nicer than a jug of fresh which wouldn`t have been very fresh by morning.I wouldn`t want to stay for a whole week.

The breakfast we ordered was fresh made. The room was spotless & top-class with a lovely view, a great bath, for instance. The location was marvellous and absolutely perfect - walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go.

Quiet, even though it was on the high street. Very comfortable beds. Excellent facilities. A working shower. Friendly owners who knew about the area and cooked a great breakfast.

The room although small was well and appropriately furnished. The bed linen was lovely with matching quilts. I had a nice view out towards the main street which was quiet. The breakfast was very good, having choice and good quality products. A very delightful hotel in a lovely village with amazing drives in both directions.
The shower room was fine as it was for my single usage, but if my partner was staying it would not have been private enough, as it was only a partition structure. I was informed that there were other rooms with more appropriate facilities. This should be made clear when booking. The TV didn't work well but this was not a big problem as it worked for morning news.

The homely service of Jean the owner of the property. As we were only there for 1 night it would be hard to give a proper judgment , I do feel if we were to stay longer we could have asked Jean to provide us with things that we required and she would have accommodated. A couple of small details that may help the b&b would be to provide milk in the rooms so customers don’t have to ask for some in the morning if they are early risers or even some of the small plastic uht cups of milk would have been ok. For a very cost effective local b&b with a great breakfast in the morning and a relaxed atmosphere.
The hot water system needs upgrading to provide a more balanced hot/cold water balance. I would subject that the owner invest in a whole house water pump which would balance out the pressure in the whole house. I would also suggest that milk is provided with the coffee and tea making facility's in the room as in the morning it is necessary. Would also suggest that the towels in the en suite facility's are bigger or more than two small ones
